I'm building my cage and I am wanting to use sliding glass doors. Home Depot carries a single pane glass. I'm using the glass with temps ranging from 75-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Would this work, or would I need something like tempered or 1/4" glass?

I am no expert here. But I am pretty sure that the 1/8th inch glass sold in most hardware stores is ideal for replacing single pane windows in your garage, so I don't think that the heat gradient that you suggested would at all be a problem. But, depending on the size of your snake and the span of the glass, you might want 1/4 inch glass for strength.
I am a carpenter, not neccessarily experienced in this subject, so take what I have to say as you will.
