Will they ever breed???

I have one mae and one female in the same tank. They are definately a 1.1 pair.

Male doesnt seem really interested in the female. They just go their seperate ways?

A few weeks ago I paired the same male with a different female and he was really interested but the female was still under 35g.

Am I doing something wrong?

Separate him from all females for a week or two.....

What is the reasoning behind that?

In the wild leos are solitary animals, they don't spend much time together except to mate,so when a male and female do come across each other a breeding will usually take place. In captivity you sometimes have to trick the male into thinking he only has this one chance to mate and you can do that by keeping him away from the females.

hmm hes been solitary for about 2 years now.
I introduced a female 3 weeks ago and he "loved" her but she was still to small so I switched it with a nice 49g female but hes not interested. I think he was interested for the first 2min.
