Pair of scalaris....breeding??

puschridgeherps Jun 24, 2003 01:52 AM

I have had this pair together since Friday and took this picture a few hours ago. The male has been attempting to copulate ever since this picture was taken. The were both hibernated, just was not expecting anything this year. Who knows?? Derek

Nice looking scalaris Derek. How old are they?

Those big bruisers have to be my favorite among the European rats! I would love to have a BIG pair of adults.

How is their temperament in captivity?
I have heard they can have "personality".

Yes, they seem very....alert! They are a bit fussy while in their cage, but are alot calmer outside. I still get the occasional "hiss" while holding them. Derek
