found snake

big black eyes with kind of yellowish areas on either sides of/or around eyes on a mostly dark tan head. Body tan with dark spots freckled, fades as you get closer to the tail which is a solid tan.

Baby found in Portland Oregon area on a concrete receiving dock. Very aggressive. I have a photo, but do not know how to post it here. Can send photo to someone if they have personal email. Need to release to its natural habitat, just wondering where that may be. It could have traveled in someones truck bed to here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Judging by the fade out of the pattern on the tail, the relative length compared to girth, and the braided pattern.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Picture is kind of fuzzy, but that would be my guess.

I'm not really up on my US colubridae, lost interest in them too long ago.

This is a Racer still in its juvenile pattern. I am not sure if the current taxon in Coluber constrictor, Coluber constrictor mormon, or Coluber mormon.

I beleive there are Racers up there which are closely related to the coachwhips the other poster talked about. Not sure which species, but if you do a search for snakes of oregon I am sure you will find some pictures of some of the different speceis of snakes as well as racers.
