How tall should a Bullsnake cage be?

I was thinking of using a sterilite tub that is 40x20x7. Is 7" enough height?

I built mine 48x30x24 lwh. I have a divider in now and will take it out later to house an adult.

I made mine 6'x24"x12" in a thee tere stack for my sud adult bulls and that will do for life.I used a 42 inch rubber made untill they hit 4ft.
