Male and female introduction behaivors

CCappy175598 Aug 13, 2004 10:11 PM

I introduced my male and female and after a few minutes they encountered one another and the girl started swishing her tail in s-curves and then the male started shaking his fast like he was about to eat. Is this normal? I dont want them to fight or anything. Im so paranoid :]

IM not 100% sure but whenever i introduce male and females together for breeding, only the male does the swishing of the tail.. are you sure you have a male and female?? I am relativley new to the breeding program but have introduced 5 pairs and only males tdo the waging of the tail.. And from what i read they do it to see if the other gecko is male. if it wags back its a male.

Im positivly sure its a female and a male, she didn't do the tail shaking she just swirled hers around a little. They've been together for a few hours and were fine through the night. I take it they've gotten used to one another. Hopefully they'll have some lizard lurve soon.

The female does the "slow waving" of the tail but not the fast swishing.
