Wrinkled skin?

miki00 Aug 14, 2004 08:58 AM

I was just checking my baby BRB and i saw that part of his side belly was wrinkled when it coils itself or bends it. IS this normal or should i start to worry? By wrinkled i mean that some scales were like little holes.

i'm not sure what your talking about but maybe i can help from what i understand..

sounds like your snake can be dehydrated. the skin should still be nice and tight when it coils. try soaking him in warm water for about 30 min everday until it goes away.

also, i noticed my brb has the same thing, but only on the day she sheds. is your snake about to shed? if it is.. i would wait till she does then worry if its still there.

hope this helped. good luck

Maybe it's a bit deshidrated(sp?), eventhough i mist the enclosure every day and it has a water bowl. I think it's gonna shed becuase its getting a little opaque, except for his eyes, i'll try to soak it and see if it goes away.
Thanks!
