Copperhead relocation in Houston

joeycoco98 Aug 14, 2004 10:17 AM

Hello all, a friend has a copperhead problem on his property. I hate that he has to kill them but his dogs have been bitten several times causing several expensive trips to the vet. I would like to capture and relocate as many as possible to prevent them from being killed. I live in Houston and would like to know of a good place to release them. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
Miller

I used to catch southern copperheads all the time in Houston and they can be easily hooked into a container. The best place to let them go would be to take them up to Conroe or farther north up I-45 where it gets really wooded.
