Sick uro

I have just gotten two adult somalis. The male (approx 3 years) is in great shape but the female (5 years) is huge - perhaps very overweight - and I have noticed that she does not use her rear legs but pulls herself on her front ones only. Is this a sign of MBD and is it something that a vet can help with? Any info is appreciated

Obviously, a vet visist would be your best place to start, but to me, it sounds like a spinal injury (does she move her tail? If you touch the tail, does she react?). Did you get her like that, did it happen over nigh, or a gradual thing? Things to take into consideration while trying to determine the problem.

Good luck, maybe someone with experience in this field will chime in.

could be injury, mbd, or impaction. they are my guesses. the best thing to do is take her to the vet, they will know for sure and hopefully be able to help. good luck
