hey everyone I just want to know if any of u could tell me how I can take care of adult mealworm beetles? I mean like what do I feed them ? How can u tell male from female? And what do their eggs look like?

Are you planning to have your own mealworm colony? I just put my mealworm beetles in exactly the same substrate I would use for my mealworms, maybe put in one more slice of carrot, coz they consume the carrot real fast.

You probably can't see their eggs, not even baby worms, they are microscopic. I've had a culture for 2 years and still have not seen a mealworm egg.

I don't know how you can tell female or male beetles, but I've heard that females are larger in size, not sure if its true?
