just back from Daytona!

Just got back into miami from day one at daytona. A good sized show with a decent selection. Nothing really blew me away this year. There seemed to be a lot more retics and ball pythons then I remember. Since this a boa forum, the incredible pets table had some of their baby guyana's that people have been talking about. These things were awesome. I've never seen so much variation from one litter and some of these things are going to be tomato red looking adults. I picked up a trio of suris from brian at florida redtails (though we incorrectly sexed one of the belknap cross babies I immediatly fell in love with and am now hoping to swap it out for a true female). Oh also, lots of cool and rare turtles...in fact lots of turtles that I didn't think we were allowed to keep. I'll try and post pictures of the new suris soon...peak freaks should prepare!

On a more somber note...daytona was cleaning up from the remnants of charlie...there was some looting which was pretty pathetic, but otherwise, people seemed to be in good spirits...part of living in Florida. Mostly broken trees and windows, not too much structural damage (lots of water damage I'm sure).

Alright...good luck cleaning up tomorrow at the show for the folks who are going.

cheers,
gabriel gartner

Nothing impressed me at all this year....except Tom Burkes Table, he was the only vendor that had anything worth looking at, His Jungles had phenominal color and pattern, not to mention the T 's, Now talk about quality and selective breeding!!! saw way too many over priced non selling ball python morphs. I didn' see too many people buying anything, could have been because the hurricane kept a lot of people home.. But over all S>O>S>.you people who had to stay home,, don't feel too bad you didn't miss much..

hoped that cheared you up!
