Hands down (and nose up!) Westerns are the way to go. Easier to feed, find, purchase for decent prices, etc. FYI, Easterns can indeed thrive on an all rodent diet. I have no problems making the claim that those that can't get an Eastern to eat mice don't know enough about them, and don't know all the tricks needed. I have 4 adult Easterns all eating mice. In fact, the youngest one will eat crickets, thawed bull minnows, and just recently, wax worms! And people say they only eat toads???
