White Sand

monocledcobra Aug 14, 2004 11:10 PM

I hear everyone talking bout washed playsand....well I got a 50 lb bag of nice Ohio white sand from the local hardware store. It was washed and everything, no dust, and the grainules are incredibly small. Plus the white sand makes the cage look stunning, and Spike actually seems more active on this white sand. Just wondering if anyone else uses white sand at all?

We just got white sand for our enclosure as well. Our tank background is like Roman ruins and columns and such, so the white sand looks REALLY nice with it. We got ours at Ace Hardware. It was about $8 for a huge bag....70 lbs sounds right. We were going to get the playsand but found this and it looks MUCH better.
