completely clean out the cage, discard all wood products, hides barks limbs etc. or you can bake them at 350 for 20 minutes that wil kill all. then completely clean the cage from top to botom, use a vaccum cleaner with a hose attachment to suck out all the substrate and stuff out of the corners on top and bottom. Then take you little guy or girl, which should be out of the tank by now, and give him a bath. Then go to the store and get some reptile relief spray. this works like a champ, spray it on the snake, not the head or eyes but on the body, put the snake on paper towels with a small water bowl and basic hides and watch for moving pepper on your snake again aka mites.

this worked for me when a friend brought a mite infested 12 foot burmese over to my house and infested my brood when i had 20 snakes, including some 14 foot plus burmeses. try taking the mites off of her. well anyways good luck

Save yourself a lot of scrubbing and aggravation and order a can of Provent a Mite from someplace like the Bean Farm. Use it as per instructions. Magic.

Haven't we warned you about tampering with the structure of a chaotic system?

You can play it extra safe and follow both suggestions of the previous two replies to your post. I like using both Repti-relief and Provent-A-Mite BUT be careful and follow instructions for each accordingly.
