Buy more Toads? Or trade out for a female?

arlalane Aug 15, 2004 05:12 AM

I have 2 Fire-Bellied toads. I'm positive one of them is a male, and I think the other one is too. I'd like to get a female and see if I can breed them. How many FBTs can I keep in a 10 gallon tank? (2/3 water 1/3 land) and what is an appropriate male/female ratio?

I also have to male fire belly toads. But if your getting more Of them Its not a promise your getting a female. Poeple at pet store dont obsevre them often you them would not know. But if you do get lucky and add a female into the tank with to male your going to have to get a biger tank with more females or get ride of one of the males. when there is only one female and 2 males they will fight for her. So i if you want to keep them both your going to have to get a bigger tank and try to pick up another female for the other toads or get a very large tank they could all share maybe even to diffrent islands for the the couples.
