Man Eating Pac-Man

burmaboy Aug 15, 2004 08:13 AM

Does anyone else have a "man eating" Pac Man?
I cannot get near the tank without mine trying to kill me or eat me. This is the 4th one I've owned, and this one is pretty comical. He is a living garbage can! I think if I threw whole chickens in his tank, he'd eat those too. I am beginning to fear for my dogs life! hell...with this one, I am beginning to fear for my life!
This one eats mostly fish and insects, but every couple of weeks eats a dusted rat pinky.
I keep large snakes, but have the frogs just for fun. I have had the frog strike at me more than my burms!!
Also...does anyone have enclosures for multiple frogs? An aquarium with dividers type set-up?
I'd be curious to see it. I would love to get more frogs, but just dont have the room to keep each one in it's own 10 gal tank.

How long have you had him? How big is he? Would love to see a pic of this killer.

if you want a cage with dividers in it they have some for sale at www.glasscages.com just thought i'd let you know and good luck with your little guy.

I built my own divided cage out of acrylic. Here's a pic. Each side has roughly the same floor space as a 10 gal. I built it to fit exactly on the rack I keep it on.

This current one is less than a year, and a little smaller than a tennis ball. Today I aquired another Fat Boy in a trade, and this past Friday I was up at NERD, and instead of leaving there with a Dwarf retic, I came home with a Pixie frog.
I also turned down a Chubby frog today. Did'nt seem very exciting.
I have seen the partitioned cages from glasscages.com, and I will probably contact then before the next show.
At the next show I will probably get a fantasy frog. They look pretty cool. And that should do it with me for frogs for a while.
Again, I keep pythons and boas, but I like the frogs for fun, and low maintainence.
As soon as I figure out this picture uploading thing, I will post some pics.
Does anyone else feed their frogs rat pinks?

About once a month I feed my pac-man a dusted pinky mouse but I have never used rat pinkies.
