Where can I find a Temperature gun, other than though the mail?

JDalbo Aug 15, 2004 10:05 AM

I want to get a temperature gun today, and really dont want to wait a week to get one in the mail. These stick on thermometers are crap. Does anyone know any stores which carry these (relatively cheap)? I know SEARS carries one made by CRAFTSMAN, has anyone tried these. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Try Radio Shack. There Tempguns are $50 normally, but they have them on sale occasionally for $30. I ordered mine from Pro Exotics for around $30 shipped and I love it. It only took a couple of days to arrive.

Paul,

Are you content with the $29.99 model? I plan to purchase one very soon and was undecided which model would be best.

TIA,
ToddG

Yes, it works quite well for checking heat gradiants as well as making sure frozen/thawed food items are warm enough.

I purchased a temp gun through Pro Exotics and am very satified with it. They sell a very inexpensive model ($25-35) and it works quit well.

I just picked one up from Radio Shack. If you go to www.radioshack.com you can print a coupon for $20.00 OFF. the total came to 29.00 and it seems to work great.
