Im having a problem, not with my gator but myself.I recently got a lung infection from mold in basement from my ponds humidity that got out of control.Problem is while sick,I neglected to go downstairs to maintain my pond.Yesterday when I went down I noticed filter electric breaker had blown and filter may not have been on in at least 5 days. The last feeding of ground beef was in there along with fesces. My gator did his usual splashing around and I received a mouthful of this water.I removed the charcoal from the filter last week and was only using cotton medium until I was to clean filter again.Should I be concerned about swallowing some of this stagnant(for a week) water or need not worry about contracting some disease or illness.Help me out if you can, ease my mind.Gators been healthy for almost 4 years but not known if captive born or wild caught when hatchling(when I got him).PLEASE answer this post.

I doubt you'll get sick if you haven't already done so.

BUT that doesn't mean you won't. That kind of foul water can cause illness and any ingestion could present problems.

We've all been splashed from tie to time with foul water, just don't drink the stuff in quantity.

Best of luck.
