Help my little balls were coppulating

NatashaG Aug 15, 2004 01:27 PM

I woke up this morning and noticed that two of my ball pythons were coppulating the reason this worries me is the female is only 700 grams and the male is only 500 grams. There both young the male under a year and female just at a year. I was wondering if an eggs could be produced from this union. And if so would they be healthy? One more thing now the male will not leave the other female alone he has been climing up and down her pushing on her and those kind of things the reasone this worries me is she is smaller and younger that both of them she wieghs in at about 400 grams she seems unseptible to his advances.

that is the number 1 reason why ball pythons should be housed 1 snake per cage. get him out of there ASAP!! even if you go buy a rubbermaid container drill some holes in it and set it up as a cage.

as to the effects on a young female I will let others who have more experience give that answer.

"REMOVE THE MALE"

They will need there own enclosures!!

Why are you housing them together ?

I was housing them toghther because they were all under a year and I assumed they were to young to mate. What I really need to know is not whether I should remove the male but if there is a possibility at her size she will become pregnet and have heallthy eggs.
