Questions about pacman frog

chjvc1026 Aug 15, 2004 02:27 PM

Hi, I got a baby pcaman frog about 2 weeks, he started out eating planty of food and untill this week he ate less and one day after feeding he buried himself in to the soil. I was thinking maybe that's hibernation, but he doesn't seem to have a layer of plastic-looking skin. He started to buried himself completely 2 days ago, and he came out this morning like 6am and then went back in to the soil. What is he doing? Anything I should be concern about? And how long is this gonna be?

I wouldn't be too concerned at this point, i've heard of pac mans burying themselves for weeks at a time, then just poping up one day. If you want to, keep in enought substrate so it surrounds him and not the top of his body, then it can't completly bury itself
