How bad is the infection? When my lizards get cut, I put neosporin on the cuts and the lizards heal in a couple days. I have been doing this for years, and not one of my animals has ever had a bad reaction to it. If anyone has done this and they have had bad results because of this, please say so now. I am pretty sure that your monitor well get better with neosporin, but let other people post their experiences before you get the lizard the medicine. However, if the cut is deep, do not apply the medicine; you will have to take him to the vet if that is the case.

And are the vets in your area even qualified to treat reptiles?

I dunno about the Vets around here.my girlfriend found something on a page about using Betadine in water and let him sit in it,then after about 20mins use a antibiotic ointment on the cut,so i think im going to use sum neosporin too.Thanx...still open for any help.
