prob. with humidity

rusti Aug 15, 2004 08:28 PM

I know that you should keep a bp's cage at approx. 60-70% humidity, but how do you do that??? I have a spray bottle that I spray every now and then and it goes up to sometimes 75%, but within 5-10 min, it goes down to 50-ish. how do I keep it up at 60-ish?

thanks-ish!!

They don't need that kind of humidity unless in shed. They are from africa!

That's more then enough! A water bowl and the correct heat should provide the needed humidity. When in shed I usually mist mine lightly 2 times daily. Nothing like a Chondro or Emerald just a little extra moisture.

Why not just supply a humid hide? Plastic box big enough to get into, hole in lid, fill with soaked then squeezed out moss. Mist the moss now and then and save on soaking the cage and risking rot or mold etc.

Haven't we warned you about tampering with the structure of a chaotic system?
