Calcium licking ??

riiotgrrl Aug 15, 2004 08:57 PM

I have noticed that lately little kodama has been consuming alot of calcuim powder from her mealworm bowl. I keep a little extra in there because i know that leos will lick at it if they need alittle extra supplementation. My question is am i doing something wrong where she needs to do that? And also should i have another bowl of the sandfire leo dust in there too? Any suggestions/comments are appreciated. Thanks, Jen

young leos and gravid adult females eat more calcium. You are not doing anything wrong that makes her eat more of it. No need to add extra suppliments as long as she has a good appetite and you are gut loading your food items properly.
