Ackies are like a reptilian squirrel with a carnivorous appetite. My red ackie ets more crickets, and roaches than 3-4 of my beardies, my ackie doesnt stop moving much as long as hes awake, ackies are brave, gotta be into everything, outgoing, energetic animals. Ackie have all of the fun and even more attitude than larger monitors in a convenient package. My ackie uses 68f as a cool end, 86-90f as a warm end (ambient temp) and a basking temp of 188f (surface of a corkbark log). They love to dig and tunnel and rearange the cage constantly so give them a foot of dirt at least.
