Man,
I can admit a few of us were worried about the hurricane but we all really wanted it to hurry up and finish so we can start doing some deals!!
The night of the hurricane the way the adams mark was set up for dorp off and pick up there must have been a few hundred people standing out there watching the storm. It was a blast...everytime a window broke somewhere, everyone was oohhhh aaahhhh....yyeeeaaahhhh, lol.
People were having races across the street trying to run in the wind, crazy people for sure.
The best was when Ralph Davis and Pete Kahl did a news broadcast in the middle....that was hilarious.
You can stand outside under the driveway roof and the wind didn't come in, but we were all right there watching it. Pretty neat stuff/
Overall, the attendance was down(OBVIOUSLY) but once word got round that the show was still going to go on, people flocked in on sunday.
Still lower than usual attendance but alot better than what all us vendors were expecting that is for sure.
Great to meet alot of you guys down there, and put faces with names, etc....
I had a great time running around doing trades and sales, it was a blast.
I left with a yearling pair of leopards which I will post pics of after they settle, and a bunch of different ball morphs.
There was some neat stuff there but I didnt see Jeff Ronnes table? anybody know if he had one this year????
Some gorgeous guyanans at Petes tables from Incredible pets, some realy nice hypos were around, not as many albinosas I thought but still a good number, most were het for something or dbl. morphs.
I dont think I even saw ONE rosy boa????? or rubber boa?????
There was alot missing, but I guess it is because this year the show was a week early and a week makes a huge difference sometimes in production timing for show.
Overall I think it was a success,
HURRICANE or not, the Show will always go on!!
