is my collard a male or female?please help!

It has a gray head with black dots on hishead,and has two strips(the collars)and the first one goes to about the middle of the arm and the second one stops when it reaches the top of the arm,and it has green and orange stripes on its back with a small blue dot,and has white dots as well, then its legs and tail have green and orange spots... so some one please help me i had it about a month if that helps. thanx

sex your collared. You must turn the collared over and look at the vent area, (the slit at tail base)

under the slit or vent, if its a male, there should be a very distinct row of large white scales. If you can't see well use a magnifying glass, can't miss them.

A female does not have large scales they are smaller,

Also most females will also have a black dot on either side of the slit or vent area, this particular female does not however!

But you can see the difference in scales between this pic and the males pic above.

yes this helped alot...thanks,and i believe its a female because of the black dots on the sides of the slit. thanx again
