Box turtle laws in Florida

shawn26 Aug 16, 2004 02:15 PM

Hello All- It's been awhile since I have posted here on the forums. Just got back into raising box turtles. I now have two adult female Florida box turtles. My question is have the laws in Florida changed in the last few years?. I know it used to be you could only own 2 box turtles per person in a household. A friend of mine told me that now the law says you can only have two altogther and they have to be the same sex...can anyone confirm this?. Thankyou. Shawn
