Is it eating? It's not a problem if the snake is eating.

I agree, if it is eating this isn't a problem. You didn't mention size of snake or prey.
A lot of hatchlings and neonates will not constict pinkies, they just gobble them down.
I feed all of my snakes F/T and probably only half of them constrict. And some of those only if I hand feed them by dangling the prey in front of them.

Corn snakes and rat snakes..No one can have just one.

Jimmy (draybar)

he eats large fuzzys, i prob could step it up to hoppers but i dont like feeding to big. he eats good. im makeing the switch to f/t, once i do that i know it wont matter.
A lot of snakes will not constrict smaller prey,or prey that does not struggle enough for the snake to waste energy constricting it. I had a yellow rat snake who would sometimes constrict but for the most part he just ate the mice alive. My recent baby yellow rat won't constrict the small fuzzies he is on,he might throw a loop around one but he doesn't kill them at all and just eats them.
My king on the other hand will contrict anything no matter what the size.Fuzzies, hoppers, very small adult mice...dead,alive..no matter,he wraps a few coils around them! The corn snake will wrap around anything MOVING,if I am lazy and just put the dead mouse in the feeding enclosure with her she will just eat it,if I wiggle it a little she strikes and constricts. If I feed her a stunned mouse she constricts.
