That is 70's technology hehehehehe. I would look at the numerous types of plastic reptile cages offered here on the net. Many of them advertise on the classifieds.

I would go with a 3ft long, 2ft wide, and 12-18" tall cage. This will give room for the snake to grow. A plastic cage will be safer, give better heat, better humidity AND look better than an aqaurium.

Hope this helps!

Aquariums are just a big headache! It doesnt matter if you seal the top almost completely off you will still have a humidity,an heat problem!Plus if you figure out the cost of a 20 gallon tank, lid, heating pad, light,an whatever else you might need for it,A propper housing for your boa really isnt that much more![Hypoboa]

What is so bad about an aquarium? I already have the tank, heater, light, and water dish. So is a 20 gallon a good size?

Yes a 20 gallon tank is ok for now!But if I was you I would take the advise given too you on this forum!I have been raising boas for a little over a year now an I am totally tired of dealing with heat an humidity problems that come along with using an aquarium, but its your decision![Hypoboa]
