I was wondering whether sonoran gophers and great basins integrade in the wild? Thanks,Kevin

Yes, they readily integrade in areas where their ranges overlap as in northern Arizona and northern New Mexico. They also overlap and integrade in eastern California. There is quite a bit of sonoran influence seen in Great Basin gophers. Great Basins look similar to sonorans except in the dorsal patterns behind the head and front of the snake.

A specific place I know of where intergrading is likely is Joshua Tree Natl Monument. It is basically a sloping desert from the near-sea-level Palm Springs area up to the 2500' Mojave desert.
On some maps they even show a fuzzy line labeled "transition zone". By the way this subject was discussed recently.
