Concerned about my baby BP

GoodyToShoos Aug 16, 2004 08:50 PM

my baby BP, hatched may 04 about 20 inches long, just shed for the 2nd time since i have had him. his eyes were 'dimpled' and wrinkled at first but one filled out. the other didnt really and i am concerned that he cant see well. I am sure that both eye scales came off because i examined the shed. also, he is not as 'shiny and new' looking as he was during his last shed. he looks kind of dull and i just want to make sure he is healthy. He is eatting 2 frozen/thawed fuzzies a week, has plenty of water, hide outs and is on a coconut shedding bedding. Please! I just want to make sure he is ok and if there is anything i can do if me is not well. thanks.

First, I would suggest posting to the BP forum. Second....my take would be that he is mildly dehydrated. Babies dehydrate quickly. Put in a humid hide with damp moss in it. A water dish is okay but many BPs won't soak in a dish of water but will go into a damp spot full of moss.
