A few lizard pictures to share...

johne Aug 16, 2004 10:12 PM

This is Chili...untouched photographs.

A couple pictures of Spice...

Notice how the orange stripes radiate from her eyes in this pictures...she really looks like she has little rock art sun drawing around each eyeball.

My newest little male...named "Little DB"

He's finally starting to tame down. First time he has not bit me after being caught in the pen.

Progress :P

Thanks for looking. Eve...please proof-read this for me LOL

cool pics John! About your outdoor enclosure, do you have any problems with ants? what about bigger criters like racoons or cats? thanks,
eduardo

I do have some rather large red ants that can be seen from time to time. My Yarrow Spiny lizard loves them...must taste like hot chili LOL.

As far as other predators...I have never had a problem yet. I do have a top, with a fine net. I think it is called bird netting, or deer netting. It is used to put over fruit trees and such to protect trees and gardens from birds. so far, I haven't had any birds get in, except once or twice when the lid was off.

Thanks,

John E.

They taste like lemon drops (due to the formic acid). Try some!

They do look tempting though.

I may have to eat some weird stuff, but not this crap I'm getting from you! I've been happy with my Arkansas experience so far--just need to go find those collareds this weekend.

I think I'm going to add a "stuff I've eaten and survived" page to my web site!

I must have been thinking humpster...my nickname.

Anyway..., yea, when you read your name in print, it pretty much jumps right out at ya. Especially if you were busted stealing toilet paper from the local restaurant, or if you sadly missed your special invite to stay with Brian Adams after the show. LOL

Those are some nice pictures! Very clear and good depth of field. Incredible lizards too! Keep the photos coming. I've been adjusting my outdoor cage and will get some collareds and a chuck out there soon. I took the top off so I don't have to crawl to get in it. I just need to ad plants and toss in the lizards.

it will have to be lilly pads and saw grass. HAHA.
