from what I have heard/read
"Normal" bd's are 18-24 inches and German Giants are about 24-26 inches long.
I have also read that the body is more "Robust" as in larger bones and more weight. I saw I photo here a while back (I think it's one of Cherrie's ?? ) and the head of the GG next to a normal was vsisibly larger. as was the rest of the GG

The first picture is of a GG female(Sandy) in the front, a mix gg and regular(Sherbert) in the middle and a normal adult female (Myst) in the back, these are all 2-3 years old. Then the bottom picture has the same GG female, Sandy, closest to the bottom of the picture, a yearling named CC and a male GG named Zookie.
With these you can see although Sandy is really big compared to the mix and normals, when put along side the male full GG and a yearling even she looks small. The male is a really good example of the large head and bone structure of the GG, you can also really see a difference in x-rays of the bones, they are much thicker and wider on x-rays, especially the head and hip areas.
