outside stock tank caging

any one come up with a good way to make a lid? im using a 1000 gallon poly tank from the tractor supply company its about 8'-10' cicle for my tegus...also what temp do you let it get down to before bringing them in for the winter?

Funny you should ask, I am just completing a set up using the 150 Stock Tank. I was going to try to build a lid like superchunk built but my buddy that helped me thought this would be slick so I went with his idea. My B&W is only about 30" right now and he already has free roam of one room but I made this really for him to spend the night in, feeding and hibernating. I believe this will even work for those purposes when he is full gone because he will always have free roam. If you go to the link below you will find about 8 pictures that may answer some of your questions. The lid and shelf are made of Starboard but I would imagine you could use some kind of wood. The outer lip of the lid is Composite Decking material I bought a Lows but for some reason I can not find it on there web site right now. I made a couple of mistakes that I will be happy to clue you in on if this looks like something you would like to try to build.

Where did you find that stock cage (container) was it at lowes or home depot?!?!?!
