Is my Tinc. wierd, or am I paranoid?

shopaholic May 14, 2003 05:52 PM

Hey gang: My male Tinc is acting strangely. He hangs on the glass all day long. Though a terrestrial frog, I realise they will climb some. But he sticks vertically to the glass like a tree frog all day. He comes down only to eat and sleep. What's he doing? The female in the same tank does not do this too much. He is also not as aggressive of an eater as she is. But he's not skinny, he's normal. And she is FAAAAAT! A half a week ago, he did gag on some of that white webby stuff from the white flies. Is he constipated or uncomfortable, or afraid of the female or what is the dude's problem? I'm kind of freaked out.

Thanks

My azureus do this when they are hungry...not so much starving as just havent eaten in a day and bored while waiting to eat again. Both of them are really fat but they still do it. Once fed they come down.

Hi,
MY male auratus does that once in awhile and I think it's his only way to get away from his "lady".Kinda like you going fishing or something I suppose,LOL.I wouldn't worry about it too much.Is he still young?

Thanks you guys. The Tincs are 3-6 months from being able to breed. So does that put them at 6-9 months old? I don't even know. I think now that I read the posts you guys replied...he's new to the tank, and wasn't getting as much food as the female. I guess it'll pass. Just had to ask, cause I freaked!
