Bad aim?

graycat274 Aug 17, 2004 08:56 AM

My female is off her game! She has struck at the small rat in her tank at least 5 times and missed every time! I've never had this problem before. I've had them miss once, but never 5 times.

Is this a problem or she is just having a bad day?

Try feeding her prekilled rats. She doesn't have to chase her dinner and no chance of a rat doing any damage to her.

If she's not hungry, she could be just striking at it to try to scare it off...

Well, I think you are right although she hasn't eaten since 7/22. I tried again to feed her a fresh killed but she clearly wasn't interested so I fed it to my othere female - she'll eat anytime!

Thanks for you help. I hate to see her skip a meal, especially before the fasting winter months. I'll try again in a few days.

Thanks!
