Best time to feed Leo's?

misfit75 Aug 17, 2004 09:36 AM

Hello! Just got my first pair (juveniles) and everything is great so far. Just wanted to know if there's a time they prefer to eat? I've been doing it around 7pm each night (and they clean the bowl). Is this ok, or should I do it before I go to bed around midnight? Thanks for your help!

Matt

That sounds like it should be fine around 7 like you are doing. I find that my juviniles like to eat just after 9 and seem to eat more than if I was to feed them earlier. After having this conversation on here before I think most everyone agreed that anytime between early evening and early morning should be fine since they're nocturnal. Just as a little twist, I know for a fact that there are people out there who feed in the middle of the day and their geckos eat, so it's really preference I would say mostly.

You can kinda train them to wake up and eat at a certain time, if you're consistent they will wait by their dishes for food.
