Fish tank water

kev-n-gina Aug 17, 2004 10:04 AM

I am THINKING about trying some dart frogs but was wondering if any one has used (well maintained) fish tank water for misting and general use. I have several tanks of fish all of which I do regular maint. on ie water changes and filter clean ect. and was wondering if this would be safe. I have city water which is heavily chorimined (not clorine but still treated) and think that if I do get them will not be diligent at getting spring water at the store. I guess its kinda funny but If I have to go to any store that doesn't sell pets I just don't do it Kinda sad huh

it all depends what you put in your fish water! if you use coppersafe or anything like that then definatley not, but if your just useing a simple de-chloronaotr (nothing fancy like a stress coat, which might actually be ok, but i dont know....) you should be using double what the bottle recomends for regular chlorine whater to eliminate chloromine, usually the bottle says this.
