Misting System??? GOT IT

jjester1978 Aug 17, 2004 11:24 AM

I was inquiring to people about misting systems for my chameleons a couple of weeks ago. Well I went to the Daytona show and there was a guy named Bob there from Pro Products that had a misting system. I bought it and let me tell you it is amazing. They give you a timer with it that has 14 different cycles in a day. http://www.pro-products.com/ is the website for this product. It is the most ultra fine mist you could ever want. Thanks for all of your suggestions. The system ran $170 and was worth every bit of it.

I also use this system,.. it's a little pricey but works
awesome.

How much water can it hold - seems small.

You can feed the intake line into any container you like,
not just the one it comes with. I just ordered the
pump and 2 nozzle kit, and use a 20 gallon plastic container
for the water. The pump and nozzles are very high quality, i've run it dry accidentally lots of times with no problems.

I've done the whole misting system thing...with the pumps and this and that. And I hated it. I just found out how to use an ultrasonic humidifier to produce a fine enough mist. The most I ever have to refill the tank is daily...if not every 2 or 3 days. Plus I can route it anywhere with pvc. My system, I feel, is equal to yours. And the difference...you paid 100 bux more.

Actually providing that fine of a mist can lead to respitory problems, and create more problems, although I do agree that 170.00 for a mister is out of my price range, I'm struggling to pay the 100 for the mr.moisture, all it is is a bucket some clear vinyl tube, and few dollars in spray heads, and a pump..Thats all I have to say about that.....
