Keeping algae from growing in my turtle pools

Would anyone have ideas on what to use to keep algae from growing in my turtle pools that will not harm my turtles? Any and all idaes would be very helpful. Thnaks, Steven

There is a solution that can be added to ponds to keep it clear of algae. It is safe for fish, so I assume turtles would be safe as well.

Ideally you should add the solution when the pond is clear of algae. The solution will keep it looking that way. If there is already algae in the water, the solution will break apart the algae and then can be removed with a net or syphon.

I believe you can find the solution at any large petstore or pond store. Hope this helps.

The solution i use in my aquarium says "not for outdoor ponds" so i'd look into it if i were you.
