I'm hoping it's the latter for everyone! Mine are pretty darned healthy right now. My male geyri has gained 100g over the last year - he's a fatty 300g now! Hurrah! And my routine fecal check of the geyris just came back clean yesterday. Made me happy.
I'll try to get some new pictures soon. All I have are old ones. I love seeing everyone's new photos! Post, everyone, post!!

I'm here still, too. My uros are doing great. They seem healthy, the geyri are gaining weight and shedding. And the malis are growing and starting to darken!
I've GOT to make the time to take some new pictures of them!
Have a great day!

Excellent folks! I just wanted to make sure this place still had a pulse.
I enjoy reading everyone's posts, so please keep up with the pictures and Uro news.
Have I told you guys the one about my Mali who likes to scale stereo speakers? One afternoon he was running around on the carpet and came up on this high, black wall (only 3'). Well this little fellow whips out his claws and starts scaling the front of the speaker. I kept a hand under him the whole way as a safety line, but darned if he didn't make it all the way to the top on his own! He's a pretty good climber for a fatso.
I'm here too but I've just been lurking around lately. I want to put up another uro pic (I've got a pic of Ra and Isis side-by-side, him in the tank and her outside of it) but my pic is too big and my cropping program no longer works (stupid shareware!). I'm currently looking for another Paintshop Pro program that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. As soon as I get one, I'll put up more pics.

Mine not only climbs the speakers if i let him, he also climbs the brick fireplace!
One other thing. My mali, Wilson won't go poo in his tank. He goes crazy till i take him out, and then he goes on the fireplace hearth,or the floor. Does anyone else's do this?
Cher
Wow, I'd love to see the brick fireplace trick! Even though he does poo in his cage, my Mali seems to prefer to go whenever he's on my bed sheets or in my lap.
Maybe it's the handling action on his stomach that causes the 'eruption'.
when i first got my uros they also would not poop in the cage. whenever i took them out they would go. i think its because the person who had them before me. did not clean out their cage often enough. and they dont like to dirty their cage. after awhile of them realizing theat when they poo in their cage it gets cleaned up right away they stoped doing it. i also moved them in bigger cages. that also could have had an efect on them. now they have more room and dont worry about a little poo in their space.
