Snake shipped by USPS...what to do?

rptilian Aug 17, 2004 02:24 PM

Just found out that a snake I had ordered was shipped USPS, without my knowledge. Its too late to stop the shipment now. Any recourse? Found out it will also be a two day delivery, rather than overnite. I fear for the little guys safety.

Learn from my mistake...verify how your order will be shipped BEFORE purchasing!

The little guy arrived...not in great condition, but hopefully he'll be alright...He was shipped second day, so the seller knew that it would take two days to arrive. Forunately, I know the mail carrier well enough to have her set the package inside instead of putting it in the mailbox. Buyer beware...if a deal with shipping included sounds like too good a deal, check the shipping method before ordering.

Shipping usps is illeagle. they have violated the Lacey act.

The Lacey act prevents shipping snakes. You have to check to see what is legal.
