I know you guys have a bunch of info already posted but do fbt's make very good pets. I mean, you can't hold them a lot or they get stressed but in your opinion do you think they are a very satisfying pet?
Thanks a bunch!
Sincerely,
Jennifer

If you like to just sit and watch, then yes, good pets.. i can hand feed mine, and they are fun to watch moving about the tank. But no, they are not sweet and cuddly. Depends on what you are looking for.. companionship, or just a fun hobby. If you want something that you can play with and that will love you back, these will not be very rewarding for you.. You might be better off with a kitten or other cute and cuddly type thing.
But I do greatly enjoy watching my FBTs interact with each other and their environment. It's stress relieving and rewarding to see them healthy and happy because you privided a great home for them.
FBTs may not exactly meet the needs that a dog or cat do, but I love to watch them eat & swim. I love to hear the barking noises they make when they mate. It's fun to have something that moves around and makes noise. I noticed that they crawl like lizards as well as jump like frogs.
