I have a couple of problems with my male crestie that I hope some of you more experienced readers can assist me with.
I have 1 male housed with 2 females in a 29g naturalistic setup
1) (Stupid but very annoying) Every time i handle the male he uses my hand/shoulder/arm as a restroom. I have never had one of my females ever do this to me; I was just wondering if this is a common occurance among males.
2) The male seems to have gotten very aggressive since I added a second female to the group. The new female has been being attacked by the male leaving marks and even a scar on her side. I know that aggression is commonplace but is this too much? He has never attacked the original female but i noticed today that she has some bite marks on the underside of her jaw. I was just wondering what I should do about this. Do I need to get a different male? I really like the little guy and he was my first crested.
Any help is much appreciated.
side notes:
-male is approx 1yr 6mo
-first female is over 2yrs (laid 5 clutches so far and is gravid)
-new female is 9 mo and 27grams
