Can someone tell me the general price list for ball pythons?

sullman Aug 17, 2004 07:21 PM

Hi all,
I am interested in getting another snake for my collection and was looking at ball pythons as well as a few other species of snakes(Eastern King snake,Pine snake or a milk snake)Anyway I was wondering what the price ranges are for all ball python morphs. I do like the normals but some of the morphs that I have seen on here are awesome! I was just wondering what price ranges are on the morphs and just how many morphs there are?

Well there is a pretty broad range. I have seen ghost males as low as $750 and Lesser Platinums for $50,000. You really have to figure on what you have to spend then figure what morphs are in that range. You can take a look at:

and get an idea on some of them but without knowing how much you want to spend there are just so many to list.

Thanks for that page! There are some beautiful snakes on that page with my fav most likely being the super pastel! Unfortunately I do not have the kind of cash that some of those morph's demand. If I do decided to go with a ball python it would be a normal phase My wife would slaughter me if I spend 2G's or higher on a snake! Hell she would be mad if I spend 250 dollars on a snake, but I would still be able to breath.lol

go for a het male albino or ghost (not sure if there are any others under $250) for $100-$200 and a couple normal females. Raise them up breed the het to the females produce 50% possible hets keep back the females breed them back to the original 100% het male and hopefully produce the visible morph. Yes it takes as long as it sounds, but if you are looking for a fun inexpensive project this is the way to go.

Or,you could pick up a male 50% or 66% possible het for pied or caramel or clown as well.

That is ,if yah feelin lucky
