What to feed

burmaboy Aug 17, 2004 10:00 PM

I already feed my frogs crickets, superworms, pinkie mice, rat pinks, and feeder fish.
What else can I feed them? I'm thinking of something with a higher protein than the fatty foods listed above.
Also I dust my frogs food. I use Nekton, HerpVite, and MinerAll.
Any other suggestions on what to feed? Something with variety.
All my frogs, except my Pixie Frog, are the size of tennis balls, maybe a bit smaller.
So what does everyone here feed theirs?

Nightcrawlers are a high protien food that is lower in fat. If they are kept in a calcium rich substrate they are even balanced with respect to the calcium-phosphorus ratio.

I just do not suggest them as a sole diet as a sole diet has been linked to muscle disease in bullfrogs.
