I can't speak for Cresties or Nob Tails which look and I hear are very cool geckos. Tokays are awsome active geckos when kept in a large enough tank. Their fierce eaters, jump and climb, get pretty large, not to mention are one of the most beatiful geckos out there. Once set up are pretty easy to care for also. If you want something you can handle though one of the other two would be a better choice, although I don't veiw them as mean as they are made out to be when kept correctly and they get used to you. Good luck with your choice, I'm sure any of the three will make a good pet.

out of that group i keep only the cresteds and they are great to watch.i dont keep them but i love tokays wich everyone at the local pet shop is afraid of.i keep leo and frog eted gekcos adn i know a person who has a namib sand gecko.i like to watch ground dwelling geckos as it is fun to watch them go around and explore their cage.the best to handle out of the bunch is probably the cresteds though.hope this helps

I have another vote for crested geckos! They are cute-they all have their own personalities, they are available in hundreds of different colors and patterns-most of mine are more than happy to make my boyfriend and I double over when they're doing their acrobatic tricks to catch crickets, and on top of all that they are very easy to care for.
I have no personal experience with the other geckos you're implying about but also another really cute gecko to think about are the Madagascar ground geckos-these are also really cute.
This is a pic of one of my cresteds.

I have a Madagascar ground gecko. He is very cute and sweet, but also shy. He spends most of his time hiding in a hut. I don't know if this is common for the entire species, but I hear they are kinda shy and not very handlable, so it's something to think about if you want an "active" gecko.
This is about the only view I ever get of Nicodemus.

Not that I'm complaining, of course
it just depends on what you are looking for.
