Mite prevention/elimination

Bodhisdad Aug 18, 2004 07:42 AM

Hi all, As of right now I have 4 boas from 3 different sources. I'm in the process of setting up a trade, 3 ackies for a equal value of boa(s). I may end up with a couple of pairs or a single boa. What measures should I take to minimize the chances of mites? I have to think sooner or later, I'll have to deal with this situation. In the case that I discover my snakes have mites, what do I do? I would like to be prepared, prior to the problem getting out of hand. Thanx in advance for the input, and all the input thus far, Clint

Get Provent A Mite and follow the directions exactlys, spray bedding and wipe it around the rim of your enclosures, anywhere that mites could migrate into or out of your habitat. Soak your mite infested animals in tepid water or use Reptile Relief to immediately knock down the adults that are on your herps. This 1-2 punch will quickly and safely eradicate a mite infestation.

Hope this helps.
