Apricot Pueblan

KingOz Jun 24, 2003 12:12 PM

Hello...

I have a one year old Apricot Pueblan and she is still as wild as ever. I handle her about 3 times a week for about an hour but she squrms like mad. I have two kings as well and my 5 mt old brooks is 100000000 times clamer than the pueblan. I knew that pueblans take longer to clam down, but I thought by a year she would be much clamer than she is. I have more exp. with kings than milks....will she ever relax?

Thanks

I have a two year old female pueblan that is just the same. She's picked up a few times a week also. Shyest snake I own.

jumpy. They are always like that in my experience.

Most milksnakes are squirmy at 1 year of age. Most require 2 or 3 years before getting better. Pueblans however do not get really calm ever. Sure there may be some exceptions, but by and large Pueblans will remain squirmy as adults (though less so than as babies.) Still good captives though. They eat well and breed well. The new hypo morph is stunning.
