Fish for Pac Man

grantguy Aug 18, 2004 11:39 AM

EdK I saw a post you made earlier about the types of fish that a baby pac man might enjoy in his/her diet. If you have the time or if anybody else may know...what specific types of fish are best for Pac Man frogs?

I have these black mollys and rosey reds that I've been feeding mine. Is this ok? And what type of molly's should I buy in the future?

Thanks.

even though i dont have a pacman ...yet... i would suggest rosies or tuffies (same feeder fish, just some people call them different names), but thats what i feed my piranhas because i noticed they tend to be ALOT healthier than goldfish and alot less expensive than mollies. but i dont have a pacman so dont go me... wait for someone else to reply

Rosey reds, tuffies fat head minnows (all the same fish) are fine, just make sure the pet store does not keep them in a medication that contains copper.
Any of the mollies are fine and based on anecdotal evidence with mata matas any of the live bearers are fine.

Does this help?

Yeah EdK...it helps a lot. Thanks, I appreciate it. I guess I will just keep buying the Rosey Red's with a few Molly's to make my tank look nice. I plan on making the red's my Pac Man's staple diet...I believe you said that this is a fairly healthy choice in an earlier post?

Thanks.

im not a huge fan of using store bought feeders if u have the space for a small tank get a couple of live bearers (guppies, mollies, sword tails etc) they will breed constantly and u have access to feeders u know are heathly !! if theres any doubts about there health only u are responcible etc

admittadly this is more work but i keep fish anyway so its not really a hassle for me :D

Is there any special food I should be feeding the fish? Is flake fine? Is there some type of special flake similar to cricket gut load?

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll get a whole bunch of Molly's and just let them breed.

normal fish food (ie flakes or granuals etc) would be fine, i use frozen food (bloodworms, brine shrimp etc) for my other fish so the feeders get that to
